Projects Results-Oriented Evaluation Of Maryland's Family Centers CAPD conducted an evaluation of the work of Maryland's network of family support centers, focusing on child and family outcomes and program participation in four centers across the state. The evaluation attempted to help the network's intermediary, Friends of the Family, better understand what kinds of families enroll in these family support centers, why they come to the centers, how they participate (how long and how intensively), what benefits they perceive from participation, and how their attitudes and behaviors change after participation. Data from baseline and follow-up surveys with families, computerized records, and interviews with staff were used in the evaluation.
