Documenting Quality New York's Early Childhood Education Program Improvement Model

Quality New York (QNY) is a comprehensive initiative to increase the quality of New York City early care and education programs and thereby the development, school readiness and early school success of the City's youngest citizens. QNY's vision is to create an environment that supports accreditation as a viable mechanism for improving and maintaining quality in early childhood programs throughout NYC.

Using information from program records and interviews with staff, CAPD identified the key components of QNY's successful approach to assisting early childhood education programs in New York City improve in quality and achieve national accreditation.
