The Philadelphia School Readiness Project: Development Of A Plan And A Tracking Strategy

CAPD conducted research and made policy recommendations for this Philadelphia cross-agency effort of the Mayor's Cabinet for Children and Families. The three areas of focus for CAPD were: pilot projects that would both improve the well-being of children and families and illustrate what could be accomplished through collaborative activities; development of a system for measuring and tracking school readiness indicators at the child, family, school, and community levels; and investigation of differing administrative approaches for sustaining these and other activities intended to improve the school readiness of Philadelphia's children.
