Reducing Institutional Racism In Four Communities

Project Change attempts to reduce racism in four communities in which the Levi Strauss Corporation has an interest. Working with multi-racial task forces in each community, the Levi Strauss Foundation funds local efforts to diminish racism and improve race relations.

CAPD is evaluating the planning, implementation, and achievements of Project Change. We are also working closely with the Levi Strauss Foundation and with site task forces to use evaluation findings to strengthen the community efforts. Lessons learned will be disseminated to others working against racism and for community collaboration.
