Evaluation Design For The Strengthening New Mexico Families Initiative

The New Mexico Foundation's Strengthening New Mexico Families Initiative (SNMFI) is focused on early education, care and family support for children birth through five and their families. The long-term goal of SNMFI is to improve the likelihood that children in New Mexico will succeed in early grades in school by contributing to the school readiness of children, families and communities. A key interim goal is to enhance the capacity of programs to provide good quality early childhood supports and services linked to the long-term goal of early school success. CAPD worked with foundation staff and the eight-funded SNMFI communities to develop program and initiative theories of change as part of a larger evaluation design.
