Improving Outcomes For Residents Of Public Housing

Seeking to improve life for children and families residing in public housing developments, the Annie E. Casey Foundation asked CAPD for help in determining how best to accomplish this goal. We began with a review of existing research to determine what is known about the needs of children and families in public housing, what the best models are of leadership development and governance structures in these developments, and what niche the Foundation could fill in this area. CAPD then consolidated the work of all consultants involved in various aspects of this enterprise into a report providing the Foundation with options for how to proceed.
